She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hemke and Leona Hemke; her son DuWayne; her daughter-in-law Mila Wendt; her siblings, Bea Coulter (Pep), Bernice Smith (Bill), Grace Gosseck (Bernie), Marliyn Mayo and Edward Hemke (Claynette); and her brothers-in-law, Gil Wolf, Don Sukow, Merlin Moldenhauer, Gordon Latsch, David Runyard and Will Simonis.
She is survived by: her sons, Steven Wendt (TJ Mitchell) of Jefferson, David Wendt (Sally) of Jefferson and John Wendt (Carol) of Virginia; her grandchildren, Kelly Vogel (Rob), CJ Wendt (Kheri), Matt Wendt (Samantha), Mike Wendt (Kayla), Nick Wendt (Kandi), Joey Wendt (Sara) and Dani Vista (BJ); her siblings, Betty Wolf, June Sukow, Jean Moldenhauer, Joan Latsch and Nancy Runyard; and her brother-in-law Art Mayo. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Stephen Lutheran Church of Concord (W2094 Church Dr, Watertown, WI 53094). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the St. Stephen Lutheran Cemetery (W2094 Church Dr, Watertown, WI 53094).
Memorials, if desired, may be directed to St. Stephen's Church or a charity of one's choice.
