He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, John Panning (Judy) of Lake City, Iowa, James Panning (Jennie) of Litchfield, Minnesota, Mark Panning of Lilongwe, Malawi, Africa and Joel Panning of Milwaukee; his grandchildren, Alyssa, David, Kathryn and Joseph; his siblings, Frederick Panning (Doris) of Cambridge, Minnesota, Clarice Fastenau (Don) of St. James and Norma Roubik (William) of Onalaska; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Panning (Roland) of Gibbon, Minnesota. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
