He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hoopman and Marie Hoopman (Haiden); his sister Diane Weber; his brother-in-law Bill Weber; and his niece Tracy Franklin.
He is survived by: his close friend Roberta Sundquist (Washburn); his children, Dale Hoopman (Nikki), Ashland, Brian "Chum" Hoopman, Red Cliff, Lori Spik (Dean), Georgia, Shanaya Hoopman (Charlie), David "Tony" Hoopman (Lynn), Casandra Hoopman, Garrett Hoopman, Tara Fraser (John), Eryn Kelly, Erica Kelly and Washburn; and his siblings, Donna Lehto (Wayne), Harvey Hoopman (Jeanette), Bayfield, Thomas Hoopman, Susan Ensign (Steven), Margate and Mike Hoopman (Lida). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
