He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Connelly and Jean Connelly (Smith); and his sister Jean Boyle. He is survived by: his wife Gail Joan (Petersen); his children, Theresa Fletcher (Carl), Mary Jean Connelly (Kevin Garcia), Thomas Connelly (Becke) and John Connelly (Kristin); his grandchildren, Kate Chappell (Evan), Kyle Fletcher (Sarah), Jake Fletcher, Ginesa Garcia, Alex Garcia, Jordan Garcia, Ethan Connelly and Ciara Connelly; his great grandchild Clare Fletcher; his sister Sue Clement; and his nephew Albert Tiede. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Open Arms Free Clinic or the Walworth Fire & Rescue.
