He is survived by: his wife Vicky Van Asten; his children, Kim Newhouse (Ken), Scott Van Asten (Melissa) and Doug Van Asten (Amy); his grandchildren, Kyle Newhouse (Laurin), Kevin Newhouse (Van Asten), Mason Van Asten, Makaley Van Asten, Max Van Asten, Kennedy Van Asten and Kade Van Asten; and his siblings, Jackie Hughs (Pat), Chuck Van Asten (Sandi), Pat Vanden Burgt (Ken), Bill Poppe (Sandi) and Chris Schommer (Judd). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
