He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Showen and Elizabeth "Betty" Showen (Swiggum); his parents-in-law, Herbert Copus and Shirley Copus-Roberts; and his friend Mark Lathrop.
He is survived by: his former wife Julie Everson; his wife Kathaleen "Kathy" Copus; his children, Jason Showen (Kari) of La Crosse, Bobbi Goodman (Ricky) of La Crosse and Jessica Slack (Timothy) of Viroqua; his grandchildren, Alec, Sam Showen, Tayah and Maci Goodman; his siblings, Mick Showen (Julie) of Spring Green, James Showen (Allison) of Gays Mills and Wendy Mertens (Tony) of New Holstein; his siblings-in-law, Sherrie Sime (Alan) of Gays Mills, Netty Kirchhoff (Richard) of Ferryville, Herb Copus (Angie) of Victor, MT and Timothy Copus of Gays Mills; and his cousin Teddy Schoville (Jen) of Soldiers Grove. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
