He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth McClurg; his son Mark McClurg; his siblings, Roland, Clinton, Blair, Eldon, Don McClurg, Lois McDowell and Helen Hill; and his parents, Walter McClurg and Laura McClurg.

He is survived by: his sons, Ron (Connie), Maurice (Greta), Steve (Lisa) and Duane (Susan); his grandchildren, Molly Schuler (Eric), Katie McClurg, Michael McClurg, Quinn McClurg, Brady McClurg, Nicholas McClurg, Mason McClurg, Carson Emmert, Keaton Emmert, Dustin Lewis, Megan McClurg and Matthew McClurg; his great grandchild Lexi Schuler; and his sisters-in-law, Mayonne McClurg and Faye McClurg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
