She was predeceased by: her parents, Casper Casperson and Marie Casperson (Mikelson); her aunts, Alma Mathews and Nora Langve (Norman); her siblings-in-law, Kermit, Evelyn Braaten, Obed Braaten, Myron Braaten, Rebecca, Wesley Erickson, Naomi, Georgie McDaniel, Selmer Jacobson, Robert Fredrick and Deanna Gardner; and her son-in-law Charles "Basil" Van Dieman.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Braaten; her grandchildren, Levi and Lukas; her daughters, Becky Van Dieman and Lisa Olsen (Mark); her grandchild Annika; her great grandchild Scott (Kathy); her cousins, Joyce Ingemi (Dominic) and Joe Langve (Sharon); her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Jacobson, Beverly Fredrick, Myrtle Braaten and Merrill Gardner; her friend Bev Forde; and also, Levi and Lukas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
