He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Best and Myrtia Best; his wife Velda Nofsinger; his stepmother Loretta Best; his children, Bob Best, Jackie Wilkey and Janice Best; his grandson Cliffy Molin; his great grandchild Tessa Sanders; his great great grandchild Evander Campbell; and his siblings, Bobbie and Myra Lou.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Velda; his children, Judith Andersen, Terry Best and Vicki Tjelta (Terry); his grandchildren, Vidleava Boland (Sam), Gerald Franklin Best II, Tom Andersen (Stephanie), Billi Bunch (Dani Sanders), Jaye Campbell (Ray), Dusty Wilkey, Deva Wilkey, Renae Rico (Cody), Dan Tjelta and Scott Tjelta; his sister-in-law Una Hawk (Joe); and his nephew Larry Hill (Barbara). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
