He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswald Bay and Sylvia Bay (Wedeberg); his siblings, Orville, Kenneth Bay and Shirley Proksch (William); and his brother-in-law Dwain Henden.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Anderson; his children, Eugene Bay (Deb) of Lansing, IA, Eileen Schmidt (Ron) of Holmen, Orin of Westby and Sheila Jacobson (Ed) of Esofea; his siblings, Alice Henden of Viroqua and Donald Bay (Sally) of LaCrosse; and his sisters-in-law, Gundi Bay of Stoddard and Sherry Bay of St. Paul, MN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
