He was predeceased by: his brother Dr. David Edward Vig; his wife Betty; his parents, Edward Vig and Ellen Vig; and his sisters, Ruth Preston, Elaine Tempte and Lucille Gulbrandsen.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Lars Gulbrandsen; his children, Bryan "Butch" Vig (Beth Halper) of Los Angeles, California, Chris Vig (Renee) of Monona, Wisconsin and Lisa Endicott (Jerry Baumgartner) of Waunakee, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, William Endicott (Jennifer) of Waunakee, Wisconsin, Alexis Petersen (Benjamin) of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Michael Vig (Kara) of Glenview, Illinois, Harrison Vig of Monona, Wisconsin and Bo-Violet Vig of Los Angeles, California.; his great grandchildren, Emelia, Samuel Petersen, Oliver, Augusta Endicott, Scarlett and Rhodes Vig of Glenview; and his friends, Wayne Bausch and Billy Hoffland.
Due to Covid-19, a celebration of DeVerne's life will be held at a later date.
