He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Wheeler and Mary Helen Wheeler of Viola, Wis.; his former wife Barbara J. Held; and his siblings, Ralph and Loretta.
He is survived by: his former wife Helen Olson; his children, Linda Gunderson (Roger), Ralph and Bonnie; his sister Lorraine; his grandchildren, Sherry Wertanen (Paul) and Shannon Dentice (Mike); his great grandchildren, Julie, Jake and Jayda; and his stepchildren, Phillip, Gene (Helene), Keith and Kay Becker (Garold). He is also survived by 15 step-grandchildren; many step great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers and will be donated in Raymond's memory.
