He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. McCarthy and Dora McCarthy (Westover); and his siblings, Neoma Bruner, Donna McCarthy, Marlene "Chuckie" McCarthy, Phyllis McCarthy, Nancy Smith, Dennis McCarthy, Ronald McCarthy and Timothy McCarthy.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sons, Rodney of Vesper and Edward (Patricia) of Wisconsin Rapids; his grandchildren, Jessica Edwards (Andy), Amber Fuller (Justin) and Brad McCarthy (Heather Eck); his great grandchildren, Wyatt Fuller, Waylon Fuller, Kennedy Edwards, Westin Fuller and Sadie Edwards; and his sisters, Beverly Kedrowski and Thea Provost (Tom) of Wisconsin Rapids.
