He was predeceased by: his parents, William McSherry and Margaret McSherry (Walsh); his stepmother Minnie Palmer; and his wife Nona McSherry. He is survived by: his sister Elizabeth Schmelzer (Louis) of Arlington Heights, Ill.; his nieces and nephews, Rosanne McSherry of Franklin, Mary Kay McSherry (Anthony Rosario) of Franklin, Sharon Riester (John) of Milwaukee, Sherry Reese (Scott) of Calif, Heather McSherry of Wausau, Michael McSherry of Stevens Point, Patrick McSherry of Franklin, N. C., Dean Schmelzer (Dianne) of Brookfield, Daniel Schmelzer (Stacey) of Northbrook and Matthew McSherry of Wisconsin Rapids; and his cousin Richard McSherry (Jean) of Appleton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be in Don's name to the Heartland Country Village Residents Fund.
