He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Rothwell Bennett; his children, Paul Nichols, Brian Bennett and Mary Jo Chapman; his son-in-law William Chapman; his parents, Norman Bennett (Buck) and Opal Fowler Bennett; and his brother Richard Bennett.
He is survived by: his son Michael Bennett (Cindy) of Merrimac, WI; his grandchildren, Char Warrell (Stephen), Larry Bennett of Merrimac, WI, Bryan Bennett of Janesville, WI, Shane Chapman of Sun Prairie, WI, Dustin Chapman (Whitney) of New Glarus, WI and Chase Chapman (Abigail) of Sun Prairie, WI; and his siblings, Merle Bennett (Connie) of Cherry Valley, IL, Nancy Temperly (Dave), Marvin Bennett (Sue) of Hazel Green, WI, Kenneth Bennett (Connie) of Dubuque, WI, Gloria Lucky of Bellevue, IA, Linda Havertape, Patsy Willson (Ben) of Tacoma, WA and Becky Droessler (Randy) of Louisburg, WI.. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
