With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eileen Marie Vassau of Verona, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Eileen Marie left this world on December 16, 2024 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Lukken and Alice Lukken (Garfoot); her in-laws, Howard and Luella Vassau; her siblings-in-law, Keith Vassau and Patty Vassau; and her nephews, Aaron and Craig Vassau.
She is survived by: her husband Neil Vassau; her children, Lisa Rodgers (Victor) and Brian Vassau; her grandchildren, Alyssa and Mason Rodgers; her siblings, Kathleen Lukken (Michael Vaughn), Joyce Lukken, Gary Lukken (Galena) and Terry Lukken (Kathleen); and her sister-in-law Carolyn Kaupanger (Bruce). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (602 Everglade Dr, Madison, WI 53717). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Sunset Memory Gardens (7302 Mineral Point Rd, Madison, WI 53717). A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 12:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (602 Everglade Dr, Madison, WI 53717).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Luke House, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Agrace HospiceCare.
