He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Geerdts and Frances Geerdts (Rollins); his grandson Dennis Eugene Fredric Franz; and his brother-in-law Roger Bennin. He is survived by: his girlfriend Jane Barnes; his daughters, Amanda Rezachek (Troy) and Paula Thomas (Michael); his grandchildren, Alexandrea Franz (Daniel Jansen), Samantha Corbeil (Dylan), Damienne Franz (Derek Groene) and Michaela Thomas; his great grandchildren, Blake Alexandrea, Jameson Eugene Fredric, Lincoln Zachary and Silas Derek; his siblings, Sue Bennin, John "Jack" Geerdts (Vicki) and Peggy Fuller (Ray); the mother of his children Linda Kiel; and also, Bradley Barnes, Brandon, Katrina, Amanda, Deklan, Nathan Barnes (Liz), Ronan, Travis Barnes (Cathy), Lucy and Alyssa. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home (628 N Water St, Manitowoc, WI 54220). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Fred's name.
