He was predeceased by: his brother Wayne Gollhardt; and his grandson Ian Zuege. He is survived by: his wife Dauna; his daughters, Karen Anderson (Bill) and Susan Zuege (Kevin); his grandchildren, Nathan Zuege (Kirsten), Kyle Zuege and Jared Zuege; and his great grandchild Everett Zuege.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Gene's memory for Unity Hospice and Calvary Lutheran Church.
