Ronald L. Beutler Obituary
Ron Beutler went to walk dogs on the sidewalks of Heaven on May 25, 2024. He was born September 20, 1938 and his life was defined by service, love and care for others.
He was the beloved husband to the late Patricia (Stocke). Loving father to Jeffrey (Anne), Jenean (Jeff), and Jay (Tammy). Grandfather to Justin, Brandon, Leah (Te) and Rachel. Great grandfather to Mya, Naomi, Noelle and Malcolm. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Ron grew up in West Allis with his six siblings. He ultimately felt a calling to serve his country as a member of the United States Army. For over twenty years, he dedicated his career to fulfilling the duties for our country until his retirement. Ron's passion for service followed him after he left the military. As a civilian, he worked jobs, primarily in the food service industry, quite literally serving others. Ron's passion for animals led him to his most rewarding job, working at the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) for many years. Ron, affectionately known as Captain Ron at HAWS, cared for all the animals and people that came through the doors.
He also opened his home to countless foreign exchange students and teachers over the years. His hospitality allowed people from cultures all over the world to experience life in Wisconsin. These friends became family, joining the Beutler family on many occasions, both virtually and in person, providing a rewarding experience for all.
Service with military honors and burial will be held Thursday, June 6th at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove at 2 pm.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Castle Senior Living and Castle Hospice for their care and compassion.
Ron's legacy is one of service, love and caring for others. May his life be an inspiration to us all to serve one another. Might it stir a desire to give to others and provide a lending hand, in lieu of flowers, donations to HAWS are greatly appreciated. httphttps://hawspets.org.
