He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Boyd and Mildred Boyd (Brown); and his siblings, Roger, James (Lonnie), Glen, Tommy, Yvonne Boyd, Judy Lanham and Cindy Buettner.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Boyd (Underhill); his children, Edward (Deb), Timothy (Michelle), Justin Boyd and Amanda Boyd; his grandchildren, Dylan, Emmalee and Gracie Boyd; and his brothers, Lawrence and Andy Boyd.
He was chosen to participate in the Honor Flight to the war memorials in Washington D. C. with fellow veterans in April of 2020, but was disappointed when the Covid pandemic canceled those plans.
