It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene M. Zirbel of Union Grove, Wisconsin, born in Winner, South Dakota, who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Erwin Phelps and Mina Phelps; her husband Lawrence "Jim" Zirbel; and her daughter Lois Zirbel. She is survived by: her children, Shirley Bodman (Jerry), Larry Zirbel (Diane), Wendell Zirbel (Eileen), Kenneth Zirbel and Gary Zirbel (Lee). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother and a sister.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church.
