He was predeceased by: his brother Mike; his granddaughter Jamie Lynn Schaut; and his wife Beverly. He is survived by: his children, Victoria Lynn Schaut (Charles), Michael Alan (Linda Sue), Benedict Alex, Jr. and Christopher Scott (Michele); his grandchildren, Abbie Schaut Honaker, Adam Schaut (Kristy), Stephanie Hoglund (Marty), Lindsay Galovits-Gotisha and Nicholas Sobon; and his great grandchildren, Graham, Elise, Scarlette, Brooks and Oliver. He is also survived by two brothers and seven sisters.
