He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ludwig and Mayme Ludwig; his daughter Lori Ludwig; and his siblings, Ken, Ray, Jim, Otto, David Ludwig, Judy David and Marge Busch.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Himebauch; his daughter Tami Soetenga (Steve) of Burlington; his grandchildren, David Soetenga of Burlington, Allie Zusan (Ben) of Burlington and Kasey Ludwig of Milwaukee; his great grandchildren, Makayle Ludwig, Kaylani Ludwig, Kaydence Ludwig, Henry Zusan, Emerson Zusan and Keats Zusan; his sister Ellen Larsen (Eric); and his sister-in-law Alice Ludwig. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
