He was predeceased by: his father Jeffrey Herrmann; his grandparents, John J., Margaret Herrmann and Louis B. Gintner; his uncle Thomas P. Gintner; and his pet Betty.
He is survived by: his mother Shelley Herrmann-Katz; his stepfather Dr. Christopher Katz; his brother Jeff Gintner (Alicia); his nephew Blake Gintner; his grandmother Donna Fischer; his aunts and uncles, Dan, Randy (Lori), Chris Gintner (Diane), Susan Traeger and Jane Dworak (Gary); and his cousins, Steve Baumann (Jenny), Sara Baumann, Nathan Gintner, Deanna Rumppe, Kelsey Tienor (Joe), Madelyn Gintner, Rachel Orlando (Alex), Michael Traeger (Kristine) and Julie Pearson. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be used to start a program in memory of Jacob to help children and young adults ride safely.
