He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Clay and Ann Clay (Bakken); his wife Joan Clay (Bassette); his son James Clay; his brother Gary Clay; and his grandchildren, Loni Sisko (Clay) and Matthew Sisko.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Clay (Mary) of Chippewa Falls, Nancy Fliehr (Michael) of Chippewa Falls and Karen Hotvedt (Charles) of Altoona; his grandchildren, Katrina Kruscke, Alexander Clay, Christopher Fliehr (Kelsey), Jacob Hotvedt, Allison Hotvedt, Nate (Rebecca) and Holly McElhatton (Doug); and his great grandchildren, Carter, Mason Sisko, Owen Kruscke and Austin Fadness.
