It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ray R. Clay Sr. of Townsend, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Clay and Nancy Clay (Straley); his wife Elmira Clay; his grandchildren, Kyle and Jeremy Clay; his great grandchild Emily Brown; his brothers, Roy and Arthur Clay; and his brother-in-law Eugene Hein.

He is survived by: his children, Janet Fredrickson (Steve) of Kenosha, Rhonda Shodis (Mark) of Kenosha, Jo Fink (Donald) of Janesville, Jill Mastel (Greg) of Grants Pass, OR, Ray "Chip" Clay Jr. (Theresa) of Saltillo, Roy Clay of Kenosha and James Clay (Heidi) of Townsend; his sister Shirley Hein of Post Falls, Idaho; and his close friend Sharon Dill of California. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
