He was predeceased by: his parents, George T. George and Margaret E. George (Givens); his wife Ruth; his son Richard George; his siblings, Gerald, Elias "Richard" George and Marie George; and his close friend Richard "Dick" Werner.

He is survived by: his daughter Jean George; his daughter-in-law Susan George; his granddaughters, Amanda Larson (Brett) and Angela Kapp (Jake); his brother-inlaw Ray Werner (Dorothy) of Washington; and his friend Jim Rogers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
