He is survived by: his wife Kathie Smith; his children, Jerry Thurs (Sherrie), Dennis Smith, Jr. (Cassandra), Ben Smith (Brittney), Shawn Smith (Theresa), Amie Furman (Mike) and Anna Smith-Ingman (Ken); his siblings, Earl Smith (Gail), Jim Smith (Julie), Kathy Kurth (Paul) and Roseanne Barr; his grandchildren, Joseph, Brenna, Cody, Carter, Wynter, Casey, Allen, Isaac, MaKenzie, Austin, Alana, Kolton, Shyanne, Keagon, Paizley, Hadley and Harper; and his great grandchild Millie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
