He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise A. Brown (Storkel) and William Henry Brown; his friend Lois Rathbun; his sister Carol; and his brother-in-law Harvey "Buster" Sowle.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Miller; his friend Phil "Beanie" Schroeder; his children, Michael, Teresa and Timothy Brown; his grandchildren, Justina Gemignani (Michael) and Christopher Brown; his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Sabrina and Valerie Gemignani; and his nephews, Steve Sowle (Annette) and Brian Sowle (Bryan Kaplan).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Tomah American Legion Post #201 or the North American Squirrel Association "NASA".
