He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Trifon and Betty Lou Athnos (Brown). He is survived by: his sons, Aaron and Alec; his siblings, Regina Edelmann (Ted), Thomas Athnos (Carol) of Huntsville, Alabama and Christopher Athnos of Birmingham, Alabama; and his nieces and nephews, James Henkels, Nicholas Athnos, Travis Athnos, Kaileigh Athnos and Natalie Athnos.
