Richard H. Humble Obituary
On November 25, 2023, Richard Humble, age 84 years, passed peacefully at his home in Tomah, surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with dementia.
Richard was born January 24, 1939, in Hot Springs Arkansas to Harry and Effie Humble. He grew up in the Sparta area. He married the love of his life, Diane Harper in 1967. They had two sons, Keith and Justin.
With a jockey for a father, Richard enjoyed a lifelong interest in horses. He was self-employed for much of his life, working at many occupations from tavern owner, selling tee shirts, delivering campers and many others.
In his younger years, Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. In later life he most enjoyed time spent with family and friends, pursuing the fine art of leisure. Richard was quick to help if anyone needed a hand, and quick to offer an opinion whether needed or not.
Richard is survived by his wife Diane, sons Keith (Judy) and Justin (Amy), grandsons Jordan, Brandon, and Devin granddaughter Cassy, greatgrandchildren Jenna, Hunter, Gunner, Kaydan, Brooklynn, Greyson, and Mason. He is further survived by sisters in law Emily Anderson and Geri Harper and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Scott who died shortly after birth, two sisters Nona Dahlby and Shirley Sorenson and brothers in law Joe Dahlby, Robert Sorenson, Russell Anderson and Hugh Harper.
