He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Richer and Patricia Richer (Dodge); his stepfather James Richer; his brother David Backus; and his sister-in-law Virginia Backus.
He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Backus of Tomah and Shawna Beasley (Aaron) of Dickinson, ND; his grandchildren, Karl Stoy V, Riley, Isaac and Talia Beasley; and his siblings, Paulette Bolton (Duane) of Tomah, Steve Backus of Tunnel City, Bruce Backus of Sparta and Robert Backus of Tunnel City.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 832 E Tomah Rd, Wyeville, WI 54660.
