Marjorie A. Peterson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie A. Peterson (Tomah, Wisconsin), who passed away on July 19, 2019 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Fortney and Rena Fortney (Wee); her husband Alton Peterson; her son Wayne A. Peterson; her siblings, Grace Dummert, Luther "Pete", Atley Fortney and Margaret Knutson; and her siblings-in-law, Alf Anderson, Bill Dummert, Gary Schoonover, Lincoln Knutson, Nellie Fortney and Lois Lawton.
She is survived by: her sister Ida Helgeson (Hanson); her daughter Marna Matthews (Mark); her grandchildren, Ali Matthews (Dave Deprey), Aaron Matthews and Terena Heefner of Nashville, TN; her great grandchild Zachary Heefner (Jessica); her sisters, Rebecca Anderson and Greta Beck (Dean); her siblings-in-law, Jim Lawton, Janie Fortney and Kay Schoonover; and also, Bryten, Kinley Heefner, Andrew Heefner, Tara Pratt (Ryan), Jake, Ella, Wade Pratt and Alan Peterson (Sue) of De Soto, WI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Marge's name to Tomah Hospice Touch or the Viroqua Area School District Elementary Music Program.
