He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Bjerke and Gladys Bjerke (Forbush); his sons, Gary and Brian; and his sister Judy.
He is survived by: his friends, Don Clements, Gordy Alderman Sr. and Kenny Granger; his wife Joan; his children, Lynn Bjerke, Steve Bjerke (Carol) and Susan Cummings; his grandchildren, Kristi Schmitz (Adam), Kelli Janusheske (Joe), Jennifer Obermueller (Jason), Benjamin Bjerke (Crystal), Cassaundra Watson (Zachary), Michael Cummings, Shawn Bjerke (Sammi), Natasha Cummings and Bethany Bjerke; his great grandchildren, Gabbi, Carson, Gavin, Henli, Georgia, Otis, Dale, Paisley and Gemma; his siblings, Eugene Bjerke (Kathy), Douglas Bjerke (Sharon) and Shirley Bjerke; and his friend Maria Sitter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church (762 W Clifton St, Tomah, WI 54660).
