He was predeceased by: his parents, Donnie Ludke and Julia Ludke. He is survived by: his brother Cranberry Marsh; his wife Barbara; his children, Justin Corley, Jane Applegate (Jay) and Michael Balliett; his grandchildren, Madelyn, Samuel and William Applegate; and his sisters, Penny Collins and Sylvia Gunn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joe's name to the Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter in Tomah.
