He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schultz and Linda Schultz (Rehberg); his parents-in-law, Albert and Verda; and his siblings-in-law, Earl Kastenschmidt, Tom Schwartz and Janice Ippolito.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Kantz; his sons, Brian Schultz (Barb), Steven "Bubba" Schultz and Brent Schultz (Nikki); his grandchildren, Bronson (Maddie Schmidt), Britney Leege (Jason), Brooklyn and Kaylee Jean; his great grandchild Bodie; and his sisters, Marlene Kastenschmidt and Velda Schwartz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Howard's memory to the Tomah Emergency Services Building or the Mayo Clinic Health System.
