She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Schmidt and Nellie Schmidt (Georgeson); her sister Doris Puechner; her nephew Jim Puechner; her brother Bob Schmidt; and her sister-in-law Jean Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Hollis Herbison; her nephews, Larry Puechner (Bushra) of Texas and Ron Puechner (Martha) of Arizona; her sisters-in-law, Ruby Schmidt of Tomah and Janet Smith of Madison; her daughters, Carleen and Valerie; and her pet Nikki.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Zor Shrine Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, the Serenity House in Tomah, the Tomah Area Historical Society, or the Tomah Boys & Girls Club.
