He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hirt and Betty Hirt (Genskow); his wife Judy; his parents-in-law, Ervin and Frieda Kohn; his brother Herman Hirt; and his brothers-in-law, David Kohn (Lauretta) and Eugene Bricco.
He is survived by: his son Jesse Hirt (Tamra) of Split Rock; and his grandson Colten Hirt. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
