He was predeceased by: his daughter Sherry Lynn; his parents, Otto Kersten and Myrel Kersten; his sister Betty; his brother-in-law Ernie Nero; his sister Elaine Kersten; his parents-in-law, Hazel Rettkowski and Otto Rettkowski; and his brothers-in-law, Otto Rettkowski (Junior), Ervin Rettkowski and Harold Hidde.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Rettkowski.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (502 Cedar St, Tigerton, WI 54486). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
