He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugo Block and Madeline Block (Bergean); his friend Sylvia; his daughter Jean Verstoppen; and his siblings, Anita Kielblock (Wallace), Edward Block (Maxine) and Roland "Turk" Block (Clarice).
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia A. Malueg; his sons, Jerry Block of New London and Jeffrey Block (Jennifer) of Clintonville; his grandchildren, Paul Verstoppen, Ryan Block (Kristen), Dustin Block, Austin Block and Christa Block; and his great grandchildren, Evan, Aurora, Finnegan and Beau. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
