He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dutz and Lucille Dutz; his wife Patricia Catherine; and his brothers, Hank and Richard.

He is survived by: his sons, Robert (Joan) of Three Lakes, Tom of Rhinelander and John (Daneen) of Three Lakes; and his sister Beverly Hall of Florida. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
