He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Joten and Alma Joten; his siblings, Auline, Merlin, Helen, Eddie, Lillian and Grace; his wife Joyce Elaine Nelson; his daughter Diane Joten; his children-in-law, Ann Joten and Frank Perkins; his grandson Timothy Rose; and his great grandchild Devin Rose.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Joten of Taylor, Dennis Joten (Linda) of Taylor, Daryl Joten of Taylor, John E. Joten (Cindy Gran) of Taylor, Richard Joten (Kimberly) of Taylor, Cheryl Grichtmeier (Elmer) of Colgate and Juanita Schmitz (Nicholas) of Norwalk; his grandchildren, Melissa Roskos, Michelle Tenneson, Jessica Joten, Stephanie Collins, Mindy Thomley, Danielle Schmitz, Ashley Joten, Amanda Marchan and Randy John Joten; his great grandchildren, Arryanna, Kasey, Alexis, Maya, Alexandra, Dax, Ensley, Theo, Henry, August and Lincoln; his great great grandchild Violet; and his son Shane Rose. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
