He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigrid Halvorson and Myrtle Halvorson (Lien); and his siblings, Robert Halvorson (Linda), Harry Halvorson (Paulette) and Virginia.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Severson; his children, Chris Halvorson (Mary Jo) and Kim Renn (Jim); his grandchildren, Cory Halvorson (Katie), Eric Halvorson (Jenna Brandt), Sara Simonson Tork (Lucas), Ashley Edwards (Josh) and Alexandra Simons; his great grandchildren, Elise, Evelyn Edwards, Xander, Adrien, Jamieson and Gabrial Simons; and his sister Patti Kufalk (Bob).
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials should be directed to the Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers.
