He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Berg and Lillian Berg (Hoem); his brothers, Arnie and Jeff Berg; and his father-in-law Jerry Holstad.
He is survived by: his wife Julie; his daughters, Cortney Schultz (Brian) and Danielle McNamer (Logan); his grandchildren, Tristen and Blakelee; and his siblings, Mike Berg (Glenda), David Berg (Mary), Sharon Berg, Teeny Kuchel (Charlie), Dagmar Nelson (James), Owen Berg, Alice Bagnell, Marie Anderson (Richie), Danny Berg, Lance Berg (Kathy) and Brian Berg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
