In loving memory of Kathleen M. Shimek-Hahn of Sussex, Wisconsin, who departed this world on November 11, 2024 at the age of 68. Kathleen leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Kathleen leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Kathleen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bill Hahn; her daughter Liz Hahn; her parents, Carol Shimek and Robert Shimek; and her siblings, Cindy Singsheim, Lauri Endisch (Dave) and Janet Teske (Dave). She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. James Catholic Church (W220N6588 Town Line Rd, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051).

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Aurora At Home Hospice would be appreciated.

“I'm so sorry for your loss. Kathy was a wonderful, giving person. We met at the YMCA and we hit it off right away. In the last 2 years we became the best of friends. We always made each other laugh and caused a lot of fun trouble in our aqua classes, and boy we had lots of fun. I cherished her friendship and I will miss her everyday, but I will never forget her and her contagious laugh. Forever loved.”
