Dolores A. Larson Obituary
Born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Age 96.
Dolores Agnes Breit Larson was born in Sussex Wisconsin on July 24th, 1928. She is one of five daughters born to John and Emma Breit. Her sisters, Virginia, Bernice, Leone, and Olive have all preceded her to heaven. Called Lory by friends and family, she graduated from high school in Hartford, Wisconsin with the class of '46. After high school she worked a year at Penny's Department Store before two years of college at Marquette University. She married DeWayne Larson in 1951 and they had three children, Dave, Cathi, and Jim. She worked nights at the First Wisconsin National Bank when the kids were young and transferred to a local branch of the same bank when they were in school. Eventually, she took a job with AT&T where she continued to work for many years. After thirty-five years of marriage she and Wayne decided to go their separate ways and Lory remained in the Milwaukee area to be close to her nieces, nephews, children and friends. Especially important to her were her grandchildren, Dawn, Tony, Orion, Gina and Ryan and her great grandchildren, Terrance, Trinity, Ahmed, Zayna, Lucas, Eryth and Jayce.
Lory liked to travel as well and was able to visit many places here, in the US, in Mexico, and in Europe. Over the years she became known for her practicality, sense of humor, and her devotion to all of her loved ones. One of the most important things for Lory was her independence. She was able to stay in her home to the end because she had Cathi close by to care for and to rely upon every day. She has always been a constant source of inspiration for all that have had the privilege to know her and we will all miss her greatly.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 12:00 Noon until Time of Memorial Mass at 1:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12130 W. Center Street, Wauwatosa. Father Justin Lopina officiating.
