Brian J. Prom Obituary

Of Sussex, unexpectedly died on October 30, 2023, at the age of 44 years. He was born in Menomonee Falls, on November 11, 1978, a son of Larry and Sarah (nee Manthei) Prom.

Brian was always learning and investigating many things like photography and computer technology. Programming, reconfiguring, and re-building computer devices was one of his favorite past times. He was ASE certified and advised his nephew Hunter on rebuilding his F150 pickup. He was a person anyone could turn to for answers as he had a wealth of knowledge.

Family time was important to Brian. Growing up he enjoyed spending time with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He liked camping with parents and adventures with his brother Ben.

Brian was a wonderful uncle for Kiersten and Hunter. With a big heart and a quiet spirit, he was a great mentor to those closest to him. Brian's strong work ethic made him invaluable as store manager of NAPA for many years. He will always be remembered in the hearts of those who knew him.

Brian will be dearly missed by his parents, Larry (Sarah) Prom (nee Manthei); brother, Benjamin (Amy) Prom; niece, Kiersten Prom and nephew, Hunter Prom; grandmother, Lola Marie Prom; aunts and uncles, James (Mary) Manthei, Theresa Anderson, Thomas (Sue) Manthei, Jonathan (Robin) Manthei, Sheila Rzentkowski, Michael Manthei, Joanne (Jim) Wesp, Sue (Dale) Heiden, Patti Skirvin, Robert (Leigh) Prom, Cathy (Rick) Majkowski, and Michael (Gwen) Prom. Brian is further survived by many cousins, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The visitation for Brian will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 2PM until 4PM, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Sussex, WI.

Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are greatly appreciated.
