He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Bengtson and Maxine Bengtson (Hager) of Suring; his parents-in-law, Vernon and Wilma "Sis" Bignell of Pepin; his brother-in-law Norman Bignell of Wabasha, MN; his brother Morrie; his siblings-in-law, Ada Schaller of Galesville, WI and Kenny Bowman of Mountain, WI; his niece Kendall Velie of Appleton, WI; and his nephew Scott Heitman of Nelson, WI..
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Jean Bengtson of Eau Claire, Jackie Blodgett (Andy) of Tomahawk and Bill Bengtson of Rothschild; his grandsons, Jake Blodgett of Goose Creek, SC and Matt Blodgett of Tomahawk; and his sister Nancy Bowman of Suring.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gruetzmacher Funeral Home (116 Krueger St, Suring, WI 54174). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
