He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Diehl and Emma Diehl (Postel); his former wife Christine Diehl; his son Joshua Diehl; and his niece Dawn Pethke.
He is survived by: his son Jamie Shepherd (Ellie); his former wife Christine Zielinski; his wife Joan; his son Justin Diehl; his stepsons, Jason Shepherd (Kristina) and Jessie Shepherd; his grandchildren, Lorelei "Fifi", Johnathan, Bradly, Hope "Herman", Eyanna, Connor and Keegan; his siblings, Becky Pethke (Howard), David Diehl and Donald Diehl; his nephew Chad Pethke (Lisa); his niece Kari Kristof (Michael); his great-nephews, Brett and Brady; and his great-niece Emma. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
