He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Gardebrecht and Isabell Gardebrecht (Massard); and his brother-in-law Lawrence Buhrandt. He is survived by: his wife Constance Wegner; his children, Deborah Reise (Steve), Kim Scheer (Scott) and Carrie Kempka (Wade); his grandchildren, Emily Reise (Erik Larabell), Stephanie Scheer, Katie Scheer, Kaleb Kempka, Kroix Kempka and Kyler Kempka; his siblings, Darlene Buhrandt, Judy Genke, Richard Gardebrecht (Cheryl), Sue Druckrey (Bill) and Daniel Gardebrecht (Teri); and his godson Mike Gardebrecht. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
